When I was a young boy, I would stay awake late into the night reading Stephen King novels. I still remember being on vacation at a beach cottage in Maine and reading while everyone else was asleep. It was thrilling and fun, and I used to get scared by little bumps and noises in the night. My first Stephen King novel was The Shining, and I would be lying if I said that that book didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. I remember thinking I wanted to write horror fiction one day. Well, it has been nearly twenty years since that younger version of me stayed up late at night with sweaty palms, clutching the pages of The Shining. Now I can say that I am quite literally “living the dream” I once had of becoming a horror novelist.
My sincere hope is that my novels do more than entertain you. I hope that my story motivates YOU. I hope that it motivates you to follow your dreams. My first novel was the product of a lot of hard work and effort, which I know you as a reader will appreciate. I know that you will appreciate it because I wrote and continue to write with you in mind. At the end of the day, even though this is my author bio, I want to make it crystal clear that I care about your experience as the reader more than anything else. It is important for me to connect with you on an intellectual level. That is what good literature does. It helps us connect with each other. There is a certain religious type of transcendence that takes place when we find common ground in art and literature.
I am passionate about literature and writing. And it is my sincere pleasure to share that passion with you.
